STO LTD Glasgow are a world wide Manufacture & Supplier of Render, Paints, & Insulation, and as one of the market leaders today they must reflect this with a clean modern image to there Premices.
There Scottish Headquarters in Hillington Industrial Estate was in need of some exterior maintenance, in terms of Gutter Cleaning as after the severe winter we received, Water was not being carried away by guttering clogged by Leafs, Litter, Moss.
The Exterior Facade that is a Metal, PVC Composite Cladding required Cleaning due to its white colour, but at the time of our site visit it was not very white, looking more a shade of Grey & Green from Air Born Pollution from the near by M8 Motor Way.
The Mono-Block Path Way to the front of the building was looking tired, discoloured and slippery with many years of Dirt, Moss, and Alga.
At KKR Services we always like to offer a fast response to any quires we receive and this is followed up by a site visit at the customers preferred date & time, this was exactly what we did for STO LTD, followed by a Full Quotation.
After the acceptances of any Quotes we are then able to plan the with the client on the best way for these works to commence with minimal disputation to there day to day business.
We always seek approval in terms of , Working Hours, Access Equipment, Chemicals, Etc before going ahead with any Risk Assessments, KKR Services & STO LTD together were able to decided on the best means of carrying out all the required tasks.
Gutter Cleaning
The works commenced with Gutter Cleaning aided by the use of a Z45 Boom Lift for access to the Gutters 11 Meters from Ground Level within the Tarmacd areas, two of our IPAF Operators where able to carry this out safely Harnessed from the basket of the Z45.
For the areas of Guttering surrounding by Grass we brought in a New type of powered Access Equipment (23 Meter Tracked Boom Lift) these machines are perfect for all types of jobs were Soft or Uneven Ground is a problem, these process were repeated with the same two operatives Harnessed in from the Tracked Machine basket able to clean the Gutters above the Grassed Areas.
Cladding Cleaning
The type of Cladding dictates the means we apply to the cleaning, in this cases we opted for a Specialist Product for the best possible results, we apply by means of a Low Pressure Spray System set up in our Vehicle Mounted Unit.
After the application of Chemicals we then aggravate the area using Telescopic Brush Systems from Ground, but also Two of Our Operatives are within the Basket again to work the product in to the areas 17 Meters above Ground, after we are confident that the area is free from all unwanted Discolouring and Pollution, its is washed of by means of a Pure Water System again Mounted within our Van Unit.
Mono-Block Cleaning
We were able to use a very High Pressure Rotary Surface Cleaning System that we imported from the US for the Cleaning of Large Surfaces Quickly (120 Meters of High Pressure Hose from our Van Unit) a Acid Wash was also applied to aid the Removal of Staining and Plant Matter that was ingrained in to the Blocks.
A 120 Meters was cleaned using the above method in under 3 Hours by 3 Operatives complete with PPE and Warning Signs to protect Employees and the Clients Staff.
For the complete Project we Quoted 4 Days from start to Finish , and this time scale was meet, without any delays or problems.
The End Results
The Gutters now Flow Freely removing Rain water down to the drainage pipes bellow with no problems of blockages to prevent this now.
The Cladding is now a Bright White the and Sparkles as if it was just installed recreantly, but in actual fact it is 10 years old
The Mono-Block Path Way Complements the Façade at the front and side of the building, more so is now Safe from the Risk of Slips due to the Removal of Moss and Alga, and will be helping with interior floor cleaning by employees not brining the dirt and grime form outside in.
